I am a vocational consultant and life care planner with over 19 years of experience.  I began my career working in vocational case management, mainly focused on assisting injured workers in their efforts to return to work following an accident.  Along the way, I encountered individuals who were facing the need to change careers, often at an advanced age and with significant barriers related to physical/mental limitations, geographical area, and education.  I helped them to explore career opportunities and retraining programs, but their need for an advocate and to have a sense of control through the process made a lasting impact on me as a professional. 

 

I began working as a vocational consultant, providing assessments and testifying in both district and federal courts, as well as for the Social Security Administration, where I am qualified as a Vocational Expert. I am skilled in evaluating work history, vocational options, performing labor market surveys, transferable skills analysis, and assessment of earning capacity.  These assessments are often helpful in a variety of litigated matters, from personal injury to family law. 

 

I also saw a need for comprehensive life care plans, typically for individuals who have been catastrophically injured and/or are managing chronic medical conditions. I have provided life care plans for special needs trust clients, often used for financial planning and documentation.  I have also provided reports for a wide variety of litigated matters, including workers compensation, personal injury, and medical malpractice.  I love my career because I get to meet new people and I am constantly learning and evolving.  It is incredibly rewarding to help people, especially those who are most vulnerable.
