Life Care Plans
A life care plan is a dynamic document that captures the needs of an individual, typically following an injury, or for someone with a chronic medical condition. The process includes a medical review, interview with the patient and caregiver(s), consultation with treating providers and/or medical experts, and research and development of charts addressing those needs and the costs associated with them. They are helpful in litigated matters, including personal injury, workers compensation and medical malpractice. They are also used for financial planning for special needs trusts.
Earning Capacity Assessments
A step beyond the vocational assessment, an earning capacity evaluation addresses an individual's market value in the labor market. If they were to make a good faith effort to maximize their earnings based on their unique set of skills and circumstances, what would they be capable of earning? These reports are used in a variety of litigated matters, including personal injury, medical malpractice, family law, and employment law. In the non-litigated arena, a vocational assessment and earning capacity evaluation can be helpful in collaborative divorce cases as well.
Care Management
Care management services are available to assist elders and those with special needs, to ensure that they have the best support possible to maximize their quality of life. We seek to protect the individual's financial assets and preserve their eligibility for government-provided medical benefits. Services include assessments, medical/social service care coordination, evaluating the appropriateness of fund disbursements, identifying community resources, and alternative care options if needed.
Vocational Assessments
A vocational assessment is an evaluation of an individual's ability to work in their local labor market based on their unique set of skills. These reports can be helpful for a young adult with a mental or physical condition who is planning for the future. They are also useful in a variety of litigated matters, including workers compensation, personal injury and medical malpractice. They are also helpful in long-term disability (LTD) cases when an opinion is needed in regard to whether or not a claimant meets the definition of disability. A vocational assessment is also useful in Veteran's law for those seeking total disability individual unemployability (TDIU) benefits.

A vocational consultant is trained to understand the demands of work and can assist in evaluating vocational options, creating a retraining plan, and/or providing an opinion regarding vocational disability.
Cost Projections
Similar to a life care plan, these reports cover the current and future needs of an individual and the costs associated with meeting those needs. They are generally based on a brief review of records containing future recommendations. They provide valuable information for evaluating damages and for financial planning.
